Farmington woman sentenced to 60 months for fentanyl trafficking

CONCORD, NH – DEA New England Division Special Agent in Charge Brian D. Boyle and United States Attorney Scott W. Murray announced today that Sasha Rand, 34, of Farmington, was sentenced to 60 months in federal prison for fentanyl trafficking.

Rhode Island man sentenced to five years in prison for fentanyl distribution

BOSTON – A Rhode Island man was sentenced in federal court in Boston in connection with his fentanyl and fentanyl analogue distribution activities in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Judge sentences St. Louis man to 10 years for drug trafficking and firearm charges

ST. LOUIS – U.S. District Judge Catherine D. Perry sentenced James Lamont Fields to 120 months in prison today. The 23-year-old St. Louis resident pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and one count of felon in possession of a firearm.

DEA Announces Expansion of Operation Crystal Shield

WASHINGTON – Drug Enforcement Administration Acting Administrator Timothy J. Shea announced the expansion of Operation Crystal Shield. This expansion includes the designation of two additional methamphetamine “transportation hubs” in 2021.

Manchester man sentenced to five years in prison for dealing fentanyl

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – DEA New England Division Special Agent in Charge Brian D. Boyle and John H. Durham, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that MIKE CRUZ, also known as Mike Flores and “Mega,” 31, of Manchester, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer in New Haven to 60 months of imprisonment, followed by four years of supervised release, for distributing fentanyl.  Judge Meyer also ordered Cruz to pay a $10,000 fine.

DEA and SAMHSA announce winners of Red Ribbon Week campus video Public Service Announcement contest

WASHINGTON – The Drug Enforcement Administration and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration named North Dakota State College of Science, and the University of Miami winners of the 5th Annual Red Ribbon Week Campus Video PSA Contest. The contest, co-sponsored by DEA and SAMHSA, was part of the 2020 Red Ribbon Week activities. Participants produced a 30- to 60-second video public service announcement focusing on the dangers of alcohol and drug misuse among college students.

Dominican National sentenced to 10 years in prison for drug trafficking

BOSTON – A Dominican national was sentenced today in federal court in Boston for heroin trafficking.

Angel Martinez-Peguero, 30, who previously resided in Lawrence, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Allison D. Burroughs to 10 years in prison and four years of supervised release.
