Two Sentenced for Role in Maryland-to-Virginia Heroin Pipeline & Overdose Death

Harrisonburg, Va. – Two of the five defendants charged as part of a conspiracy that trafficked heroin from Maryland to Virginia leading to at least one fatal and one non-fatal overdose were sentenced yesterday in U.S. District Court in Harrisonburg, Special Agent in Charge Jarod A. Forget of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) Washington Division and Acting United States Attorney Daniel P. Bubar announced.

Over $1.1M in Civil Settlements Reaffirm DOJ’s Commitment to Preventing Opioid Abuse

SAN ANTONIO – The United States Attorney’s Office has collected $792,000 in civil penalties as two more civil Controlled Substances Act (CSA) investigations have settled, announced Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Special Agent in Charge Steven S. Whipple, Houston Division and U.S. Attorney Gregg N. Sofer.  These civil settlements, coupled with the Town & Country Drug, Inc.

Large-scale, Spokane based fentanyl, heroin, and methamphetamine trafficker sentenced to 180 months in federal prison

SPOKANE, Wash., –  Today, Todd Earl Bridges, age 38, a resident of Spokane, Washington, was sentenced to 180 month term of imprisonment for possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of actual (pure) methamphetamine. United States District Judge Rosanna Malouf Peterson also ordered a 5 year term of court supervision after he is released from federal prison.

Essex County Man Indicted for Operating Heroin Mill

NEWARK, N.J. – Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s New Jersey Division Susan A. Gibson, and Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey Rachael A. Honig announced a federal grand jury today indicted an Essex County, New Jersey, man for narcotics offenses for operating a large-scale heroin mill out of his apartment.

Vallejo Man Sentenced to over 10 Years in Prison for Methamphetamine Offense

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Joseph McCready Tomson, 30, of Vallejo, was sentenced Thursday to 10 years and three months in prison for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, U.S. Attorney McGregor W. Scott and Drug Enforcement Administration Special Agent in Charge Daniel C. Comeaux announced.
