Deux gars en camouflage et en gilet pare-balles, portant des fusils automatiques, sortent sur le trottoir et nous font signe de nous arrêter.

Nous nous attendions à ce barrage routier.
Le soleil se couche et la nuit, les deux groupes qui se battent pour le contrôle de la région de Tierra Caliente du Michoacán transforment la principale artère qui relie les capitales municipales d’Aguililla et d’Apatzingán en un no man’s land.

Eleven Defendants Arrested for Federal Drug Trafficking Indictment

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Eleven defendants were arrested on a 30-count federal indictment that was unsealed today in federal court.  The indictment alleges a large-scale drug trafficking conspiracy, drug possession and distribution crimes, and firearms offenses, announced Acting United States Attorney Antoinette T. DEA Rolls Out Operation Engage

MANCHESTER, NH – Today, the United States Drug Enforcement Administration launched a comprehensive law enforcement and prevention initiative aimed at reducing drug use, abuse and overdose deaths. “Operation Engage” allows participating field divisions to focus on the biggest drug threat and resulting violence in their respective geographic areas. The initiative builds on and replaces DEA’s 360 Strategy, which aimed its resources specifically at opioids, and allows field divisions to customize plans and direct resources to target the drug that presents the greatest threat to public health and safety in their jurisdictions. The New England Division is one of eleven participating field divisions in year one and will focus its Operation Engage efforts on methamphetamine and fentanyl in and around communities of Manchester, NH.

Justice Department files lawsuit against Creve Coeur pharmacist for Controlled Substances Act violations

ST. LOUIS – In a complaint filed February 23, 2021, by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri, the government alleges Elizabeth Dembo unlawfully dispensed controlled substances to patients during her time as the pharmacist-in-charge of Olive Street Pharmacy, LLC. The retail pharmacy is located in the 10000 block of Old Olive Street Road, in Creve Coeur, Missouri. Dembo repeatedly filled prescriptions while disregarding ample warning signs of diversion, or « red flags, » indicating the prescriptions were not legitimate.

OMAHA, Neb. – Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) investigators took an estimated $2.8 million worth of methamphetamine and marijuana off the streets of Iowa in 2020 and reported an increase in cocaine and fentanyl seizures.

KC man pleads guilty to meth trafficking following high-speed police chase

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A Kansas City, Missouri, man has pleaded guilty in federal court to illegally possessing methamphetamine and a firearm.

Michael Allen Dicks, Jr., 31, pleaded guilty before U.S. Chief District Judge Beth Phillips on Tuesday, Feb. 23, to one count of possessing methamphetamine to distribute and one count of possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug-trafficking crime.

Indiana Nurse Practitioner Arrested

MERRILLVILLE, Ind. – Special Agent in Charge Robert J. Bell, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Chicago Division, announced that the DEA Merrillville District Office, with assistance from the United States Marshal Service, arrested Nurse Practitioner (N.P.) Chijioke Richard Jimonu, 63, of Hammond, Indiana, for illegally prescribing controlled substance medications.  N.P. Jimonu is being prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office, Northern District of Indiana.  The criminal trial is scheduled for April 26, 2021.

Drug Seizures Surge in 2020, Fentanyl Remains a Threat in Nebraska

OMAHA, Neb. – Marijuana and methamphetamine were the top two drugs seized by Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) investigators in Nebraska in 2020, with 2.5 kilograms of fentanyl, or the equivalent of one-and-a-half million lethal doses, also making its presence known across the state.

CALIFORNIE 🇺🇸: la consommation de fentanyl, l’épidémie silencieuse qui ravage San Francisco

Nombre de morts du Covid-19 à San Francisco en 2020 ? 235.

Nombre de victimes de surdoses ? 699.

Le rapport du médecin légiste de la ville publié en janvier a créé un choc : l’an dernier, la drogue a tué trois fois plus d’habitants que la pandémie.

Un record absolu : en 2019, les surdoses avaient emporté 441 personnes, déjà une augmentation de 70 % par rapport à 2018 (259 morts). En 2020, San Francisco – qui possède le taux de mortalité par Covid-19 le plus faible de toutes les grandes villes américaines – a perdu deux personnes par jour, en moyenne, à cause de la drogue. Une épidémie « silencieuse », terrée dans les contre-allées du centre-ville et les chambres d’hôtel pour indigents.

Comme dans le reste des Etats-Unis, la plupart des overdoses sont liées à la consommation de fentanyl, un opioïde de synthèse, apparu dans l’est des Etats-Unis en 2013, et cinq ans plus tard dans la baie de San Francisco.

Le jeudi 18 février, lors du contrôle des valises, les douaniers de Roissy-Chardes De Gaulle repèrent  dans le tunnel à rayons X des objets suspects.

Les deux valises arrivaient en soute par un vol de Brucxelles. Ils tombent alors sur 42 kg de tiges de Khat.

L’Éthiopien résidant aux Pays-Bast ignorait que le khat était interdit en France.
