IRLANDE 🇮🇪 : les gangs de drogue irlandais gagnent une plus grande part du marché européen de la cocaïne

Un rapport d’Europol et de l’Office des Nations Unies contre la drogue (ONUDC) indique également qu’il y a une plus grande coopération entre les groupes criminels, y compris le cartel de Kinahan, et que les saisies de cocaïne dans les ports irlandais ont augmenté parallèlement à une augmentation « significative » de l’offre.

L’année dernière, une étude distincte de l’agence a révélé que l’Irlande avait la cinquième consommation de cocaïne la plus élevée en Europe, avec des chiffres à travers le continent qui devraient augmenter par rapport aux 4,4 millions d’utilisateurs en 2020.

Le rapport « Cocaine Insights 1 », citant les renseignements d’Europol, a déclaré que les organisations irlandaises de trafic de drogue (DTO) « semblent gagner de plus grandes parts du marché de la cocaïne en Europe » avec d’autres gangs.

Il indique qu’un changement dans le paysage criminel sud-américain a également permis à de nouveaux acteurs de s’impliquer dans la distribution de cocaïne, y compris « des DTO de trafic moins importants (qui) proviennent également d’Irlande, de Pologne et de Serbie ».

Europol ajoute qu’il existe un « nouveau phénomène » de coopération accrue entre les organisations antidrogue en Europe.

« Un exemple de tentative de collusion entre différents groupes a pu être observé en 2017 à Dubaï, impliquant des individus ayant des liens avec des DTO irlandais, italiens, bosniaques et néerlandais », indique-t-il.

La réunion fait référence au mariage du chef du cartel Daniel Kinahan à l’hôtel sept étoiles Burj al Arab, auquel ont assisté un certain nombre de criminels internationaux.

La Belgique et les Pays-Bas sont devenus les principaux centres de transit de la cocaïne en Europe, dépassant l’Espagne comme principale route d’approvisionnement, a révélé ce mardi 7 septembre 2021 Europol, l’agence de police de l’Union européenne.

Profitant de l’augmentation de l’offre de cocaïne, principalement en provenance de Colombie, des bandes criminelles utilisent les villes portuaires de Rotterdam, Hambourg et surtout Anvers pour expédier la drogue aux Pays-Bas, d’où elle est distribuée dans toute l’Europe.
