«C’est le plus gros déchargement de drogues illégales de l’histoire des gardes-côtes», s’est félicité le commandant Steven Poulin lors d’une conférence de presse à Port Everglades, à 45 km au nord de Miami, à propos des 27 tonnes de cocaïne et près de 650 kilos de cannabis saisis.

Ces saisies ont été effectuées par plusieurs unités des gardes-côtes, assistées par la marine canadienne et dans les airs par la police américaine des frontières, a expliqué le capitaine Todd Vance.
